LEGAL
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The terms that apply when you book crew, staging, AV or logistics with us.
These terms apply whenever you engage Idloes Stage Crew ("we", "us", "our"), a sole trader business owned and operated by Steve Bullocks and trading from Cwmdu, Llanidloes, Powys, SY18 6DL, to provide event crew, staging, AV, lighting or logistics services. By asking for a quote or confirming a booking with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Enquiries & quotes
Submitting an enquiry through our website, by phone or by email doesn't create a booking. We'll come back to you with a quote based on the details you give us. Quotes are valid for 14 days unless we say otherwise.
2. Bookings & deposits
A booking is confirmed once we've agreed the scope of work and received a deposit, as set out in your quote. Your date isn't secured until we've received the deposit and confirmed the booking in writing.
3. Payment
Deposits and invoices can be paid securely online through Stripe, our payment processor, or by bank transfer where agreed. Unless your quote states otherwise, prices quoted are the total amount payable. The remaining balance is due as set out in your quote, normally no later than 7 days before your event.
4. Cancellations & changes by you
We understand plans change. Unless your quote sets out different terms, our standard cancellation policy is:
- More than 30 days before the event — deposit refundable, less any costs we've already committed to on your behalf;
- 8–30 days before the event — deposit is non-refundable;
- Within 7 days of the event — the full balance may still be payable, as crew and equipment will already be allocated to your date.
If you need to change your event date, let us know as early as possible — we'll always try to accommodate this where we can.
These are our standard default terms; the specific cancellation terms for your booking are those set out in your written quote, which take priority over this page.
5. Cancellations by us
On rare occasions we may need to cancel or amend a booking — for example due to severe weather, illness, or circumstances beyond our control. Where this happens, we'll give you as much notice as possible and either offer a suitable alternative or refund any payments made for work not carried out.
6. Your responsibilities
To deliver your event safely and on time, you're responsible for making sure we have safe, timely access to the venue, adequate power and space for our equipment, and any permits or licences the event itself needs. Please let us know about any site-specific risks or restrictions in advance.
7. Equipment & crew
Our crew and equipment are provided as agreed in your quote. All equipment remains our property unless otherwise agreed. You're responsible for any loss or damage to our equipment caused by you, your guests, or your venue, beyond fair wear and tear.
8. Insurance & liability
Idloes Stage Crew maintains public liability insurance covering our crew and equipment while working at your event. Our liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the fees paid for that event, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else which can't legally be limited or excluded.
9. Force majeure
Neither of us is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including extreme weather, power failures, strikes, or government restrictions.
10. Complaints
If anything about our service falls short, please tell us as soon as possible so we can put it right. Contact us using the details below.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your booking are those in place when your booking is confirmed.
